What we really need is a higher standard of rimfire ammo. Including target grade. I was a long time fan of Winchester 22 hollowpoints for hunting. They were great for a long time. When I've bought them lately they have been no good. Lots of duds. Some even looked like they sank with the Titanic, were brought up, encrustations and all, then sold.
Their centerfire components are excellent, though. Excellent primers.
Likewise with Remington. I've had a lot of problems with Remington rimfire. But their pistol brass is first rate. Best in the business as far as I'm concerned.
