Custom NEF/H&R 's

I have 11 Handi singles and I can't leave well-enough alone. I have restocked a few and altered all the others. Noticing that most of the GB authors have more than one....has anyone else modified or custom stocked one..I am looking for new ideas...show some custom pics.

All of mine have been customized somehow. As far as the wood goes, they all have factory stocks. I have no talent nor patience for woodworking and try hard to avoid it at all costs. :-\  Sure wish I had the knack though... ;)

Sorry, I'm sort of like Dinny, I have the patience but not the talent.  :-[

Dinny - Really like the laminated wood on your dark colored Handi, the grain looks really great.

That is one beautiful stock!
 
You are one of the few that I've seen on this site that does custom art work, and the only other members that I can think of is north of the border Fred, and Stimpy.
 
Other than those two members, most of us Handi owners would probably agree, it's hard to imporve on perfection!  ;)

My culled down Handi's are the 45-70, and then I have a few others to keep it company...357 Mag/Max. .45 LC/.454 Casull Carbine, .243 Ultra, and 20 gauge Tracker II.

Here's a few of mine.

The top picture is my .32-20.

Second picture, third from top is my 18 inch .38-55.  Fifth from the top is my 16.5 inch .357 Maximum, and the bottom is the .32-20 again.

Nice job on those octogons...we could make beautiful music together...............one of the reasons to post the custom question was to inspire younger one to take up the joy of building a semi-custom gun....there is some interesting wood hiding under that stock finish on the NEF's.  All you need to find it is a straight edge , a surform file and some sandpaper (alum ox). the four pics are of modified original stocks....ask questions , make suggestions...

once i seen those laminate stocks i had to have one they are supper nice. real nice pictures thanks always looking for new ideas. ;D
