similar problem ?
« on: November 16, 2011, 11:02:46 AM »
I recieved my m92 peep sight from the rossi 92 specialist ,took it to my local gunsmith who popped the safety out & the peep sight in without any difficulty,BUT while being able to adjust up & down there still a good bit of wobble left to right.also the local G.S. says the aperture opening needs to be smaller.I just wondering if anyone else experienced a similar problem ?

For the wobble read the post about peep sights in the leveraction forum.

I'm guessing, but I think your gunsmith has never used peep sights or he used them only on a target gun.
For hunting and most other shooting a large aperture is desirable.  No matter how big the aperture is your eye will automatically center the front sight.  The larger the aperture, the quicker it is to use.

That's why "ghost ring" apertures are so popular on SD and dangerous game guns.
