I just noticed the prices of homes in Lansing Michigan. (Former home of Oldsmobile). You can buy a pretty nice house in good shape, and not foreclosed for under $30,000. Considering these homes went for about $180,000 not many years ago, it could be an opportunity for the right person with the right needs. Like somebody on welfare with no intention of ever getting a job again could buy a house there and live quite comfortably.
