inflatable deer decoys?

I've seen pics, but so far not in person.
I understand they are quite small. Anyone seen on up close?

The two sided Montana Decoy will fool the heck out of a deer.  I watched an Idaho whitetail buck circle one for ten minutes one morning.  He nudged it, sniffed it, made noises, and was really confused.  I would think the inflatable decoy would be every bit as effective.

I bought one of the Tink's doe decoys at a gun show for $20, and within a week I saw an inflatable at Princess Auto for $29.95.  I bought it too.
The Tinks decoy is smaller than the Chinese one, though both are much smaller than a real deer.  The Tinks decoy is a more realistic colour, but the Chinese one came with a battery operated pump for inflating it.  Once my moose and gun seasons are over, I plan to get out with the crossbow, and give these blow-up dolls a try.  I'll let you know if and how they work

I too bought one of the Tinks decoys. I took it out bow hunting late in the season, but my luck was bad, no deer came by for inspection. So I can't comment on effectiveness.

The color of the Tinks, is probably closer to the colour deer are in the southern USA. It could be more grey for a Canadian deer in November. Many Americans have never seen how deer change colour up here. They are almost the colour of Beech bark in November, quite grey.

Maybe I'll get a chance next year to try it out.

With my tag gone, I was unable to get out and try my new decoys, so we're both in the same boat "wait 'till next year". ;)

I bought a Montana cow moose decoy, but unless I hunt out-of-province, its unlikely I'll have a use for it until 2013.
