I got an e-mail from the NRA this morning which lists the rule changes for 2004.

You can only hit the target if the barrel is pointed in the right direction when the bullet leaves the barrel.

After reading the first paragraph of the changed rules, it sounds like you can now go with aftermarket barrels with TCs in the NRA Hunter Pistol events.

""... The Barrel must not be rebored or rechambered to accomodata a cartridge other than for which it was originally manufactured.   ...  This pistol must be or have been a catalog item readily available to the general public with no visable external modifications..."


I am probably reading something into this that is not there but it sure sounds like a SSK barrel would fall into the above guidelines.  Someone clear this up before I sell all of my old 10" TC barrels and start placing orders to Virgin Valley or SSK.
