Sling stud
« on: November 07, 2011, 04:08:15 PM »
Hi all,
Older contender(bought new around 85), all 10" barrels. Have Pachmeyer forend/grip set and would like to install a sling stud to mount a bipod, anyone done this? How did you do it?
Thanks
Jerry

Replacement studs are available that will mount the forend to the bar in place of the regular mounting screw.   No idea who sells them now days, but they used to be available at many places.   You might also want the Harris HB7A spacer for tapered forends (about $7), although its not really necessary with Pachy's if having the bipod not quite 90 degrees to the barrel doesn't matter to you (it wouldn't to me, I bought my wedge for the High & Low Walls I used to have).

One species has evolved into obese cranial fatheads with thin skin in comparison that whines about anything and everything as their shield against their environment. Meus
