The Santa in the brown suit paid me a visit today.
« on: December 02, 2011, 05:04:17 PM »
I sent in my 45-70 SB2 frame and got an 18.5 inch 44 magnum barrel.  It came back today.  The stock is standard synthetic open sight stocks.  Its super-handi, cant wait to shoot it.  Now that it is back, I intend to get a new front sights on both barrels and get a peep for the 44 mag (the 4570 already has one).

Sounds nice!! I bet that .44 will be alot of fun, not to mention easier on the pocketbook as far as ammo costs.

Yep.  The 44 is the first cartridge I ever reloaded for and I still have the dies.  I have some brass but will need to order bullets.

I have an SB-1 frame .410 that has an excellent trigger. I have been thinking about sending it off for a .44 barrel.

The 44 was the first handi I got and could kick myself for selling the barrel, will be sending frame in to have another fitted to it in the next week or two.
an unloaded wepon is equal to the same mass and volume as a rock.
