Reading all this makes me see what is wrong with our country. Americans use to have pride in their country. They didn't hold their hand out and say "My country owes me" what every happen to "what can I do for my country. We as a country became a super power in less time some countries figured out running water. What our country needs to figure out (are get back too) our forefathers started this country based on common sense. We do not practice this anymore. The reason we had to come up with 1000's of new laws is the public stop using common sense and hard work. Now we are not only weak as a country, but we are so lazy. Our country is almost 50% obese. But we run our kids to fast food joints without giving a second thought, but we want run with our children. Parents blame teachers every day for the way their kids turn out. But the parents are not doing anything to teach their children. Comparing Congress members to the Army. …..Really? Yes we both raise our hands to take an oath, but the Army has their own law and rules. Service men and women give up their right to serve. Not all right, but this lady who we are talking about raised her hand and took an oath. She also signed a contract. In my oath, I swore to protect people like this, I don’t have to like it, but I do have to abide by it. Congress Member has the same right as everyone else in the US. They can be gay, at the time this lady raised her hand she couldn’t be “openly gay”, show affection in public to a man or woman, have sex with the same sex…etc..It is the rules she swore by during the time she said she served. No one made her serve, and I know she can read. Tell her to find her contract, look up the laws in the Military when she served and read. And if you’re bored, look up UCMJ. (UNIFORM CODE OF MILITARY JUSTICE)
