1873 or 1892 44-40???

Which do you all prefer, the Winchester 1892 or 1873?  Caliber of choice for me is 44-40, just not sure which rifle.
 
Would appreicate your input.

Depends, The 73 is a pretty smooth gun but the 92 has a stronger action and will stand up to hunting loads better. The 92 is a good bit more difficult to tear down and reassemble, but it's doable by anyone with a modicum of mechanical sense.

For pure unadulterated speed....and few of us ever reach those levels....I'd suggest the 73.
