husqvarna model C help..

I just bought a used rifle, a Husqvarna model C... in 243..  it has a strange looking bolt, not mauser, and I can't get the bolt out of it.  Does anyone know how to do this... its marked  'smith and wesson 243' on the barrel, husqvarna model C ..Sweden on the action..  any comments would be appreciated.. GOT  IT...  I didn't pull the trigger hard enough.  Now that its out, it looks sorta 'sako-ish' maybe like the size of the Forrester's bolt, the rear of the bolt is smooth and tapers (not stepped like mauser bolts.) I still don't know what I have, it says model C on the L side of the reciever... vapenfabrik.... nitro... on top of the bbl. is Smith and Wesson 243.   I just got a new dig. camera, when I figure out how to get pics in the computer I will be able to put pics on here... any comments would be appreciated.  Bob

This is a Smith & Wesson rifle manufactured by Husqvarna and imported in the early 70's.  I had one in 308 Win.  I believe the C was for clip fed.  Very nice rifle and shot well too.

Thanks Mike...  Mine is a hinged floor plate model.  It has what I feel a 'wierd' bolt shroud... the above picture shows it, and I have never seen or run into one like it.  There are lot of Husky's around that have a mauser style bolt, but this one is different.  The markings on it are similar to other Husqvarnas tho... it also feels like it does not have to rotate as far (lift the handle..) to come back after firing.  I have not fired it yet, I'm looking foward to that... I am a believer that only accurate rifles are interesting... if it does less than 2"  at 200yds..... " out she goes.."    I had a Remington 788 in 243 a few years back that would group nice at 100.... but did not at 200 !!   After I got rid of it I learned about 'bullet stability'.  I've heard that people that shoot competively at 1000yds., do not usually use bullets that group well at 100.  Thanks again for the input... Your Husqvarna Model C uses the HVA action, a modified Small Ring Mauser 98 - with a different bolt shroud, bolt release, and bolt lug cross-sectional shape (delta/wedge ILO squared).
 
AFAIK, they were made for S&W in four different configs as the Models A, B, C, & D - with the only differences being in bbl lengths and stock configs (schnobble forend, or monte carlo comb, or contrasting forend tip, etc)
 
I had a .30-06 Model D, a lightweight Sporter w/o montecarlo, but with the schnobble forend.
 
They are fine rifles, with exemplary fit/finish & hand-checkered Walnut stocks.
