Kimber 8400 rebarrel question
« on: November 26, 2011, 02:19:54 AM »
I have a Kimber Montana in 325 wsm. It shoots fine, but it kicks more than I like and ammo is very expensive. Would it be possible to rebarel this into something like 308 and still use the same stock, etc?  How much would it cost and where could I send it?

I am not stuck on 308, just want smething more common with less recoil. Debating on selling to buy a different rifle, but really like the rifle.

Thank ya'll for the help.

Your bolt face is for magnums .532  308 uses a standard bolt face .473. so changing to that caliber isn't just a barrel swap. Why not invest in a limbsaver butt pad and / or a muzzle brake. I did both on my 358 WSM.
