Maybe I'm blessed, but lately I've noticed that several of my barrels actually lock up tighter on mismatched frames that the originals. Examples:
The 454 carbine barrel really smacked into another frame better, so now it's got a pistol grip stock with recoil pad and sling to tame the big 300gr cast bear stoppers! And the PW is lighter that the BC walnut, so it's easier to carry around.
BEST is that the MAXI barrel happens to fit the BC case hardened frame just as solid. And the 22" barrel seems to go better with the slimmer stock to give the gun a more refined look.
Just realized I now have a "MAXI-BUFF"...
