What's a good trigger for My Savage's?

I have a Model 110 in .30-.06 and a Model 10 in 300WSM and don't like the triggers.  What's a good smooth operating replacement trigger??

With the Savage rifles the trigger must be fitted.  I've only done one but a friend who has done several and has worked with nguns for years has had one that caused problems..  The AccuTrigger seems the best solution but Savage says they are not retro-fitable.  Before the savage triggers became available I worked on many to lighten the pull and smooth.  Some had a modicome of adjustment.  My experience with the after markets is limited to the Timney.  As usual it worked just fine..but ahd to be fitted.

IIRC Rifle Basix also makes a drop in trigger for the Savage 110 series rifles as well.  I believe they are in the neighborhood of $80.00.  I saw them in the Brownells catalog.

BTW - I tried a new Savage with the Accu-Trigger factory installed and was impressed, the best (non-customshop) factory trigger I've had the chance to shoot.

The Savage 110/112/116 triggers can be smoothed adjusted down by a decent 'smith. My son's 110 had a burr on the sear and a 'smith recut the sear face and adjusted the trigger to about 3lbs pull weight. It could be set lower but we prefer the weight not be below 3lbs.

I've read that the savage sears are sintered metal and should never be stoned or recut.  He may have removed the hardening from the face of the sear, not good. :eek:

 I'm not a gun smith and certainly no expert.  It just sounded dangerous so I thought I would let you know.

i have a savage in 222 mag ai. and have a sharp shooter trigger, it,s adjustable from a low of 1.5 lb to aroung 3lb. it,s been a good trigger!

I put a SharpShooter trigger on my model 12 in 22-250. Installation was pretty easy when following directions, adjustment was straightforward and it shoots pretty well now. There is a little side play that I would like to get out but overall I would highly recommend the SharpShooter for a Savage.
If you are not comfortable doing the work yourself a gunsmith should be able to install and adjust for you pretty quickly and inexpensive, should take way less than an hour.
