JHP Barrel Prob.
« on: August 17, 2011, 01:26:28 PM »
Picked up a JHP last week because I wanted a solid yet economical 45.  During initial cleaning I found what looked like chatter marks in the barrel.  Called HP and the rep said he was familiar with the prob and that the ripples were probably in the coating not in the metal.  He said shoot it, it shouldn't affect accuracy but that if it did or if I wasn't satisfied with it send it in for a new barrel.  He also added that it might shoot out.  My ??  Has anyone experienced this prob and shot it? Accuracy?  Up in pressure? etc.
This is the day the Lord has made.  I choose to rejoice and be glad in it.

Have you shot any?
If he's carrying a singleshot, don't expect a warning shot!
