Hntr2506,

Have you ever considered the Lyman 525 grain sabot shotgun slug?   it is a similar design to the Lightfield, but much cheaper to reload.  Imagine 100 slug rounds for the price of 10 Lightfield slugs.

Those were the first ones we reloaded. We still have some and will probably reload them just to get rid of the ones we have.

I guess my first statement wasn't entirely correct. The sabots I ordered are the SPW from Slugs r Us.From what I can tell they are Identical to the Lightfield IDS.The price isn't to bad 40 for $20+ shipping so  just needed some data to start with.

Very interested in this load.Any sign of over pressure? What was the load and hull you used and was it a publish handload?

Don't use Commander IDS load data for SPW Hammerheads they are not the same! The Lightfield Commander IDS are shorter and don't weigh as much.
SPW with Hammerhead slug using staight wall hulls 2.75"
38.5gr. IMR 4756= 1450fps
42gr. Blue Dot= 1500fps
36.5gr. Herco=1400fps
