Value of my 1892 Winchester?
« on: January 07, 2012, 09:29:14 AM »
The serial number is 3####. The barrel is 19" from tip to edge of receiver and is stamped 32 WCF. The front site is not original and the rear site is missing. The stock was split and repaired. The bolt that runs through the stock near the lever has been replaced with a modern machine screw and nut. The action seems to function fine. I can not see any obvious issues within the barrel. The rifle has seen considerable use and or abuse.

(I would post photos but don't see a way to browse my computer to do so.)

Can someone tell me the approximate value of this rifle?

 Thanks!

Value of old Winchesters is directly related to their condition.  Yours sounds like it is in very poor condition but is still worth around $300.  This is just a guess because a close examination is necessary to put an actual value on it. Your rifle was made in 1907.
