Tamer 20 gauge
« on: December 15, 2011, 09:55:32 PM »
Anyone out there have a 20 gauge Tamer? Was thinking about picking one up to ride around in the truck. Seems short and quick really handy.

I have one, and like several others here who also have 20 gauge Tamers, I put a standard buttstock on it. I also put the Choate 'store-arm' forearm on it (like you'll find on the H&R Survivor series), which I put on all my H&Rs. Both are available from Midway.

Great little gun and a great value, like all H&Rs.

I've been thinkin it would be a grouse gun deluxe in the truck.

I may be mistaken but I think for it to be a "grouse gun deluxe" it would have to be a 28 guage. Just as a "grouse gun classic" would be a 16 guage with low brass loads. I am pretty sure these specifications are written in sand somewhere....<><....:)

MSP...I think you are correct in saying that the 28 gauge is a "grouse gun deluxe".  but what if you dont hunt "grouse?"...I road hunt PARTRIDGE and I can buy my 20 gauge shells in a value pack at any walmart!  ;D    sorry I couldnt resist!  ;)

I have one that I put a red laminate straight stock on that I love as a bunny buster. It's also just nice to look at. I have an old 12ga Survivor that I put a synthetic shotgun stock and storearm forearm that has been a favorite and my avatar for for a few years.

I'd much rather be remembered for being a great shot than having the most expensive gun

Have you run slugs through your Tamer by chance and if so what were your results?
