Hunting loads for 7mmTCU

Kind of new around here. Been just listening in for a while, but now I have a ? Just picked up an experienced 10" 7mmTCU barrel. It comes with about 200 silhouette loads and a whole bunch of brass. But I'm thinking these silhouette loads may not be the best for hunting. Any thoughts? They are 150gr. cast rn with gas checks, loaded over H322.  What would be a good deer load, or at least a good deer bullet? Could use some advise.

I would chronograph them to make sure they are mvoing along well.  1500-1600 at least.  100 yards or under would be perfect.  It all depends on shot placement anyway but a good cast bullet is better than a match bullet for target shooting.  ie Sierra matchkings.  They won't hold up well with animals but dang do they shoot and knock steel over.  Dan

139 - 150 grain bullet - Hornady or Noslers work better for me.
27.5 grains ww748
Winchester small rifle primers.
Make sure you trim your brass to same length.
Should do you good out to a reasonable range on any deer.

BULL, for hunting those cast loads should work fine . I use 120 grainers for deer hunting in my 10" 7tc/u. The sp seem to work better for me, you might try the hp's. 748 powder is the best in my gun. I have tried 150 cast with good success but jacketed loads are easier to find and load. No case neck belling !

The most accurate bulllets I have tried down-range. The 150's shouldn't be much difference.  It is very surprising what these bullets will do, even with a modest load.  You might want to compare those loads with some hot jacketed loads at 100 yds with some lumber or something to see what kind of penetration you get.
  I was shooting with a friend last year, I had hot loaded 100 gr Sierras, and 168 gr cast to try out. My scope is set for 100 yds with the Sierra.  At 300 yds, I had to hold over quite a bit with the 100 grain bullets.  With the 168 cast and a modest load, I was putting my crosshairs right on the target at 300 and hitting it consistently.  WITH A 10" BARREL!
