I couldn't resist any longer and bought a Ruger Hawkeye in .338RCM. For my wants this is one sweet firearm. I really didn't need that much power but I like 20" barrels and this one just feels right. It has sights but also comes with scope rings. I fully intended to scope it but I think I'll try and go with open sights. I plan on getting a lifetime supply of brass (shouldn't take much) and will probably load it down some. If you like Ruger bolts and want a carbine, this one is worth a look.
