Gunsmoke Cannons - anyone hear of them?
« on: March 15, 2007, 07:52:29 AM »
A year or two ago I came across on Gunbroker (I think) for a small 1 3/4 bore cannon made in MI by a company I believe was Gunsmoke.

Anyone know of them?
Are they still making cannons?

How do I get in touch with them?

Thanks,

North Nick

I have a Gunsmoke golfball mortar too. Photo below with smoke. ;D

They were sold on the GB's auction site for awhile then disappeared. I have seen listings on GA's website but the seller has a different name. Anyway, they are fun little cannons and they put a  :) on your face.

They are only listed by email address. Can't vouch for validity.

The cannon you are looking for is for sale for $600 on this website:
http://bronzecannon.com/

Look for it in the "black powder cannon" section.

Dictator is correct with the statement above. I do know that they had a blowout sale sometime back and they haven't listed on GB's auction since then. However, there is a fella by the name of Tom H. who is listing on Guns America website as Gunsmoke.  The cannon that North Nick is looking for is now currently listed on Guns America as item number 976856201. Hope this helps.

Someone associated with that company has recently registered as a new member. I'm not sure their association but the e-mail address is from that site. Perhaps they will see fit to become a paid advertiser here in time. We've recently lost one and had one reduce their level of support so I could sure use a bit more income.  ;D

Have you guys checked out ezacannonsales.com? I got a little golf ball mortar from there for $240. It's really good quality too, they bored it out of a solid piece of 4140 steel and mount it to a hardwood carriage. The little bugger shoots a golf ball 600 yards ha ha!

I have posted this picture before, apologize for the repeat, but it fits the topic.  The barrel on this gun was made by Gunsmoke Cannons, Dean Lardie.  No powder can as this is an old picture taken before I was a member of this forum.  But, the barrel is about 32 inches long including cascabel.  4140 Ordinance Steel liner.  The carriage is my creation, so you can't blame that on him.  It shoots well.  I now use a cannon lock on this fellow.
