First blood for the 111

Naile a fine eatin doe at 75 yards through some thick cover. The 130gr Winchester power Point factory load did a NASTY job on her chest cavity...  Good rifle! I think we'll get along just fine

Yup, she's a 270 WCF and my first rifle in this caliber. Wasn't looking for a 270 , never gave it a moment's thought, but the price was SO right AND she has a wooden stock( I cant stand tupperware on a rifle). Checkered birch, but its still wood! I'm looking foward to getting the best out of her. Most likely alittle beddding work, better mounts ,better glass and some nice reloads. By next season she ought to be Death her bad self....
