T/C .50 Maxi-Ball Mold
« on: December 26, 2011, 11:47:07 AM »
Does T/C still sell their .50 Maxi-Ball Mold? I don't see any listed in any books.E-Bay has one I'm bidding on but I am afraid I'm going to be outbid.

They hve not sold them for a long time now. If you want, better keep bidding. The T/C molds were a little better than the Lyman ones.

The TC Maxi's haven't been produced and sold by Thompson Center for years. If you want one, you're going to have to find one in a Pawn Shop or gun store or bid for one on the internet. I've seen them in blackpowder shops with some regularity...

I've bee trying to get one in .32 calibre off & on for a few years, without it costing me an arm or a leg. Looks whimsically at the ceiling and ponders, "Maybe they'll take a kid...I have two of those."  ???

Yep, you have to pay to play when it comes to the TC molds and handles.   I paid dearly for all of mine (round and maxi ball from 32-54 caliber) bought 8-10 years ago, way more than they sold for new at on-line auctions.   Thanks for the reminder... I don 't use them anymore, so ought to dig out what's left and put them in the ads.
