1o Guage frame
« on: December 02, 2011, 12:54:05 PM »
I have an oppertunity  to aquire a 10 guage  turkey gun with a screw in choke ... cheap. Will any rifle barrels fit? I think I remember reading they won't  and have tried to search out this site but I'm not much of a computer guru so I havent been able to find the answer. If this has deen discussed before forgive me and point me in the right direction... gently please

They will but not well, they have to be bedded in the frame, 10ga barrels are ~.100" bigger at the chamber swell, the large firing pin causes primer problems on high pressure cartridges too.

Thanks, Tim. I think I will pass on this deal and wait for a better one.No need to start out behind the 8 ball to begin with.

Given how many love to comment on how hard their rifles kick, maybe you should just have it rifled and go for a 20MM Short........... ::)
