My first shooting match
« on: January 23, 2012, 03:06:56 AM »
I just participated in my first shooting matches yesterday.

They were a centerfire 3 gun competition and a modified f class competition.

I placed 10th out of 17 shooters in the modified f class scoring a 312 out of 400 possible points, which was better than I thought I would do.  Shooting was ranged out to 800 yards.

I placed 1st out of 9 shooters in the centerfire 3 gun match with a score of 177.45.  Which greatly surprised me because I bobbled a bit on the carbine section of the course by running past a couple targets and having to double back to get them.

Overall I had a good time despite the crappy weather.  It was about 38 degrees for a big portion of the day with lots of fog and drizzle.
I'm voting 3rd party in this election by writing in Jesus Christ for president.  Sadly even if this were an option most of you would still vote Republican because "It's a two party system."
