Michigan's state obesity rate widens
« on: December 08, 2011, 09:10:32 AM »
We jumped to 31.7 percent of adults being obese in an entitlement state.  We have more than doubled the obesity rate in one decade.  I would imagine what I saw while at the store last night might not be helping, a person with a whole bunch of junk food using a state food card.
Well, no matter how poor Michigan gets, at least people are not starving, but they do have a diabetes problem here among other things, like being too fat to work or even look for work.  The person I saw buying junk food at the store last night was no more than mid 20's and at least 300 pounds.
Government is taking good care of us.  Now there is another program in the works, a " public awareness program".  I wonder what this will cost us to make people aware they are too young to be that big.
