I have loaded Lil Gun in 32-20 and .218 bee ,with the 25-20 being in between the two. I think 12 grains was a mild load in the bee. AA1680 works really well in the 32-20. If and when I'm lucky enough to own a 25-20,I believe I might try 1680 in it as well.

I was recently given a realy nice Winchester 1892 in 25-20 for my birthday by my lovely wife.  :) :) :)

Turns out this rifle was born in 1910

It's an awesome shooter and very accurate too.  :)

I load 60gr Hornady and 75gr Speer flat points using H110 powder.

This is how it shoots with the 60gr Honady Flat Points at 100m

And this is how it shoots the 75gr Speer Flat Points at 100m.

Not too bad for an old timer .... the rifle that is  ;)

NOT BAD AT ALL!!

I had a long barreled '92 in 25-20 and it shot pretty good too. Maybe as good as your 75G loads. I have a Sav 23 in 25-20 that will shoot 1" off a bench with my 75G hand loads!!

Enjoy the rifle she and its groups are BEAUTIFUL!

 Merry Christmas,

I have a Savage 23b in 25-20 too and yes it shoots even better.  :)

But back on track I've never seen Lil gun powder here in NZ but it would be good to try and track some down and see how it performs in the 25-20.

Cheers
Pete

That's not a Model 92. It's a Model 53.
