It's like Jason Vanvoorhees, every time you think its dead it comes back up. Usually because of a minor heat wave we wouldn't of blinked at 40 years ago.

A very warm fall and so far this winter not a real hard freeze yet. My peach and apple trees leafed out again and lots of buds on different trees. There will be a hard freeze over the next few nights though. Odd weather?? You bet, but I can remember years like this from many years ago as a Kid in Ill 50 + years ago. I remember rabbit hunting in a short sleeved shirt Thanksgiving day back then. The earth has been freezing and thawing for thousands of years. POWDERMAN.  ;D ;D

Let's see--freezing in this hand--thawing in this hand--gee, which one to choose?  I'm going with thawing.  We should put it to a vote.

The issues isn't "did it get warmer from 1975-2000" it did do that. The issue is "did man cause it". Since it has gotten warmer and colder periodically throughout history it's pretty hard to blame the period of warming from 1975-2000 on recent human activity without some explanation for why that period of warming was different from all the previous ones.

The climate and the politics are two different things. There have not been any major changes to the Montreal Protocol (ozone depletion) and the Kyoto Potocol (global warming, now called climate.change) which set phase out dates for certain chemicals and emission levels for various countries based how economically developed they were.
The US got the shaft; China got a pass.
The difference between people who do stuff and people who don't do stuff is that the people who do stuff do stuff.

What a bummer; I guess man doesn't control the weather, or climate and we're not going to have warming--shoot.  I can't stand the disappointment.  I want retribution for unfulfilled expectations.  I want Algore hanging from a weather balloon.
