Japanese guy who drank from the-non- radio active puddle?
« on: December 08, 2011, 07:50:14 AM »
So I had seen on TV some guy claiming there was no major problems with the water in a puddle near the reactor that started to melt down, he proceeded to drink it for all the world to see. Has anyone seen or heard from him lately? Just thought it rather odd now that they show us  Tuesday how bad the melt down really was and how bad it could have been. So I was just wondering.....

I haven't heard anything about him, but he should be easy to find in the dark.

There's something in that culture about proving how tough you are.  I saw a video back last spring of some guys in a government car driving around the area.  The got out a few times.  They had a Geiger counter and it was clicking the whole time and once in a while the clicks got so bad an alarm went off.  They all made sounds like "Yeah! there's a good one"  Of course it wasn't in English but they sounded like a bunch of guys watching a football game.  You just shake your head.

It's not just a Japanese thing. Similar acts have been committed by Americans at similar times, sometimes much more rash ultimately suicidal than that.

This particular guy is still alive and kicking:

Their culture is based on, silence to the peasants. Most dont have any idea what is happening with the reactor and will never know. Life as they know will go on. Many will go sooner than others, some will fool the experts but all will say. what will be will be.
They will drink where they want to drink and live where they want to live. Nothing will change that because the Nippon government dont want to change that.
