I am thinking about having a rifle refinished totally (scope, mounts, barrel and action) in woodland camo? does anyone know if this is possible/good idea or would I be better off just getting spray paint and doing it my self, I thought i saw someplace that did a powder coat or something for rifles but don't like the idea that if it gets nicked it would be hard to repair.

Why not just buy the camo tape and wrap it up. When you get sick of the worn tape, take it off or replace! Simple, now wasn't it? Ya, but it ain't expensive enough!

that is one ideasbut every time i use the tape it get sitckyon the outside and dont like the way it "lays" on the contours of the gun it will work for a quick fiz but not a long time and offers no rust protection

Rocky Mountain Arms, Longmont, Co does just what you're looking for. It's an Industrial Teflon-S (hard) coating. They do a lot of Mil/LE weapons.

Have used it with absolute success on all my competition weapons (AR, 1911's, etc.), would not compete with a weapon that hasn't been coated by them!

Tell Bob that TomJ sent you, maybe they'll give me a deal next time I have something done there (then again??? Maybe not?
