SUBJOE. Not only the vets but all those of that generation are dying taking much of history and knowledge with them. My Mom worked in a munitions plant for 1 1/2 years til her hair and skin turned orange from the chemicals involved. She had to quit because she got too weak to do anything. My dad, her fiance, and 3 brothers were in the war and she wanted to do her part.
Imagine telling folks today that they can only get 3 gal of gas a week, or so much coffee, tea, sugar, flour, tires, just some of the things rationed during the war. We need to talk to folks who went through that time, listen, pick their brain, and learn. Once Mom dies everything, every experience she ever had will be gone forever. We owe our lives and freedoms to that generation of Americans. POWDERMAN.
