I heard that winchester was coming out with a .257 WSM. Has anyone heard anything more about this? :? Do you think that it would become more popular than the .25-06? (Not necessarily "better" mind you, but "more popular.")

.30-06, .270, .25-06, .308, 22-250 all started out with the same
case (.30-06). Seems like all of them have been "AI'd". Then so
has the .243, 6mm, .223 and on & on. Have any of these improved
versions become more popular than the rounds they have
"improved" upon?
Seems like they keep coming out with a newer cartridge that
will be "as good as", or "just a bit better than" such-&-such
cartridge already in existance. The .243 WSSM is supposed to
be better than some 6mm mag, and the .223 WSSM is supposed
to be almost as good as the .220 Swift. Sheeeesh!!!
On the other hand, I really "need" something like a .223 WSSM!
