Anschutz 60P handgun, 22 magnum
« on: March 05, 2004, 09:34:27 AM »
I just bought a Anachutz 60P 22 mag. I guess I'll shoot field pistol with it. I have a Weaver 4x rifle scop on it. Any suggestions on what distance to sight it in and with what loads. I don't want to fiddle with the scope adjustments btween the different distances, because I'll lose track and won't know what distance I am set for.

Sorry to inform you that the Anschutz (or any other bolt-action pistol) is not legal for IHMSA Field Pistol. All field pistol guns must meet production criteria - and bolt actions are NOT allowed in Production (exception is stock XP-100 221 Fireball in Big Bore - "grandfather clause")

I guess I'll just shoot NRA "hunter pistol" and IHMSA can kiss my butt.

I believe NRA rules are the same on bolts action guns.

Try not to have such an attitude that every organization should cater strictly to you. Each sport has their own rules that everyone must play by. If you don't like them either don't play the game or channel that hostility towards constructive rule changes.
