Well here is a picture of the carriage i made for my king howitzer. Just need to touch up a few things, I learned a lot on this project and will post a list of things you should know if you have never built one in a few days. I fired it on new years and everyone was impressed. The second pic was after a coat of tong oil.

It is a nice looking set up ! I think you did a good thing by making the carriage abit high as it will be much easier to service the gun .
