A Question About Gangs
« on: January 01, 2012, 05:13:53 AM »
Here's the deal; If you are in a car, say you're the driver, your buddy runs into a store and robs the place and in the process kills someone, then you are just as guilty as he is. That's a fact! So then why are violent gangs allowed to exist?

If you are a member of a known violent gang, a member of said gang kills someone and it's proven to be gang related, then every single member of the gang should be guilty of murder! Therefore every one of them should be rounded up and procecuted equally! Same with any gang commited crime! If it's a gang related crime then the whole dang gang should be held guilty of it! Round every single one of them up! That is the only way you stand a chance of getting rid of gangs! They exist simply because they're allowed too!

I can't be accused of racism. I'm anti social and hate everybody equally!  ;) However, if a gang is made up of a single race then so be it. Would that not make them the racist? Don't wish to be stereotyped? It helps to not behave in a stereotypical manner!

Since guilt by association goes against everything this country was based on originally we all know this simple solution can't be allowed even though it might give a result most of us would agree with when dealing with gangs.  Guilt by association can only be used against the innocent such as when a criminal uses a gun while committing a crime.  All gun owners must then be punished.

BTW, once fouled up an otherwise excellent job interview when I was asked if I was racist and I responded the same as written above.  The real racist was giving the interview and couldn't cope with the answer he received.  It was well worth it to me.   ;) ;D

Sprithawk, Sprithawk, Spirithawk, you idealistic and romantic soul. What are we going to do with you, silly boy?  ;) ;) ;)

Don't you realize that tens of thousands of law enforcement jobs require gangs to exist? The cops have no interest in reducing gang activity. They want more gang activity so they can increase head count and make more money. Look at TSA as a correlated example. They actually aid terrorists by over-reacting to every little threat. This is exactly what the terrorists do for a living and want as an outcome. Now they have a huge government bureaucracy to do their dirty work for them. Do you think Al Quaeda could have set up shop in every airport and train station in the country and demand that people take off their shoes?

A lot of people complain that the Mexican government relies too much on drug trade for money, so they pretend to fight the drug lords, but actually have no such intent. Works exactly the same way here. It's called corruption. The flow of money is a little different here, but the difference is only in the technical details.

The only way it's going to be resolved is when people get fed up and do something about it themselves.  That day may not be too far in the future right now too.

The driver is not guilty unless he knew that his buddy intended to commit a crime. If the criminal took a cab and asked the cabbie to wait outside while he got something inside would the cabbie be guilty?
Same with gang (fraternity) members.
Furthermore US Constitution prohibits Bills of Attainder... guilt by association.
