I looked hard at the hunter, but already have a .45 LC Blackhawk that I like more for hunting.  I ended up buying an EAA Match version .45 ACP and love it though.  Outta the box I was shooting sub 2" gorups at 30 yards.  I can consistently shoot tin can bottoms at that range with my reloads.  If the hunter is anything like this one, the extra barrel and sight radius should let it reach out a bit more.

I have a standard Witness in 10mm with an aftermarket adjustable rear sight. It has just over a 4" barrel, and I can keep 5 shots in a palm sized group @ 50m offhand. I would love to have the hunter model. I have also used it for some pin shooting, where it did quite well. I have had no reliability issues at all.

thank you for the info i have a Kimber eclipse custom II 45acp and do not want to be disappointed with it's accuracy .

Superdown. If your Kimber is anything like two I have owned, then I wouldn't trade the Witness for four of the Kimbers............mine was fairly accurate when it wasn't jammed, I never experienced that problem with my EEA.

I have had my Kimber for almost 6 years now and have never had a single issue/misfire or jam. I can also keep all my shots on a standard paper plate at 50 yards so i am very pleased to say the least.
