Great article! Thanks for posting it.
The content of this article will never be taught in a high school anymore. The reason is as it states in the article, that government hates the Declaration and the Constitution, because it places restrictions on government itself. What better way to rid itself of these restrictions than to control what is taught in schools. Or what is not taught. Ask young people today questions like who was involved in forming our charters, what did it take to write them, what do they mean to us, or what is the content of them, and most likely all you will get is a blank stare or huh. If our younger generations are not taught correct history, and the meaning of our Declaration and Constitution, or if they are taught these documents are meaningless. Why would they ever care what they say or mean?
As Anghis states in his article these documents are only valid if we the people demand that they be followed. As we have seen over the years our founding Documents have not been followed, because not enough of we the people demanded they be followed. Government has done a very good job at making people stupid, through their control of our education system. Don't believe it, just look at what we have elected. Most of them are nothing but a bunch of stinking power hungry crooks.
How better to increase their power over people that have protection of freedom because of our Declaration and Constitution, than to make those people ignorant of those documents?
Our government has been gaining control of power by taking away freedom, and the only thing that will change that is by how we the people vote. Just my opinion, but I don't think we are capable anymore of putting people in office that will obey and follow our Constitution.
