Thanks. The rifle, being a Topper has a lower hammer spur allowing us to use as low as medium rings instead of extra high like the handis call for. We ended up running highs to keep us from getting crick in our necks.
since we can run a lower ring i put this simmons whitetail hunter in 1.5-5x24 (maybe 20?) on it to keep with that low profile look. She actually shot the deer at a 1.5x setting on the scope, something these old eyes prefer not to do.
The rifle had a straght wood stock that was less than perfect. I swapped it for a PG youth pardner stock first. I still preferred the look of the straight grip so when i found a little 410 with this stock in a pawn shop for a song i brought it home and swapped the stocks out then sold the 410. Its set up right now and the only thing i may later add is a brighter scope. It gets the job done. Just isnt as bright as my nikons
