Does anyone know the twist rate of the Rossi '92 in .44 mag and .45 Colt? Over the past 40 years I've tried out .44 mag rifles, three Marlins, a Winchester '94 and a Ruger auto and none of them were much better than paper plate accurate. Since I have had accurate Marlins and Winchesters in .357 mag and 30/30 I assumed the problem with the .44s was due to the slow twist, all of them were 1-38". So now I'm looking at Rossi '92s, would like a .357 mag but can't find one. There seem to be quite a few .44 mags and .45 Colts but I don't want another paper plate gun. I don't expect MOA but 2-3 moa would be acceptable. My experience with all of those .44s was more like 5-6 moa. I know the new Rugers used a faster twist, 20" I think, and they are said to be good shooters, so I'd like to know the twist of the Rossi '92s.
