For the Non-Paul Republicans
« on: January 06, 2012, 06:43:37 AM »
Several threads now have some type of fight between Paul haters and Paul supporters.  The thing is, I've not seen a great deal of support for the other guys, just anti-Paul.

So here's the thread idea:

If you're against Ron Paul, please tell us who you are supporting, and why.

I'm first !! :D :D
Even as a nonvoter I'll butt my 1.05 cents in.
I don't disagree with him at all. My concern is that of the three present frontrunners he has the least chance of winning.

Congresswoman Bachmann would have gotten my vote.

I liked Bachmann also.  But, as far as Minnesota goes, democrats just don't like attractive women in office.

To be honest, I'm just not sure yet.  I've only listened to one of the debates.  I'm still mulling it over.  But, regardless of who the choice is, I won't be voting for obama . . . or sitting out the election.

Haven't decided yet. Was leaning real heavily toward Cain, but now that's not going to happen. So I suppose a decision will have to wait until they get thru horsing around on the east coast with the open primaries and deal with what ever the democrats and independants leave us.
But it won't be Obama in November.
How about you when Paul doesn't get the nomination?
In the 1920's "sheeple" was a term coined by the National Socialist Party in Germany to describe people that would not vote for Hitler. In the 1930's they held Hitler as the only one that would bring pride back to Germany and bring the budget and economy back.....

Of the three top runners, I,m leaning toward Santorum because he has less skeletons in his closet and he seems pretty conservative.  also he doesen't back down from his stand against gay marriage.

He believes in government intervention in private matters like morality.  I don't he's going to cut Social Security...I'm against that.

We could all vote for Mitt Romney. He's endorsed by John McCain. Oh wait, he couldn't beat John McCain in the last primary who by the way, couldn't beat Obama.

I like what a lot of the candidates are saying.
Well except Rhomney.
I like Newt, and Santorum.  I think the two would make a great ticket.
I also liked Herman Cain until the Media was able to do to him what they were not able to do to Justice Thomas.

No it's really not the hard to get an answer, matter of fact everybody has answered.
Most of us are intelligent enough to know that now that actual votes are being cast, and folks are dropping from the field , who's in and we will be able to vote for when the vote comes to our state is a fluid thing. So to get wrapped around one candidate right now may leave you swingin the breeze by super Tuesday, because that one candidate may not still be in the race. So the best thing to do is keep tabs and build your decision on who will be available to the ballot when it gets here.

Now the question that also gets asked and seldom answered is, where are the Paul supporters going when he doesn't get the nomination and why?

I honestly don't know , but I will let you know if it happens. At present I am supporting Ron Paul , but remain open minded enough to keep reading this thread.I think  Dukkillr Poses a good question. I here very little from those who oppose Paul , yet never offer up an alternative name and then go on to provide concrete reasons why they are backing their candidate.

Ron Paul has the best chance of beating the clown, the media would like you to think different. He would pull a lot of the clowns support from different groups. That is why they want interview him, they tell you he says things, which have been taken out of context. etc.
If the media is against someone that is who you want. The sad part is the media still controls 300 million stupid sheep even the ones that think they are the torch for conservatism.
Most here formed their opinion, not from Ron Paul but the media.

So you don't have a favorite? OK! If you want to ask the question about who Paul supporters
will turn to, if not elected........You can start a new thread.
This one already has a topic.

we went from sheep to "stupid sheep".  I was favoring RP until I found that he is as big a liar as all the rest.  if you will lie about one thing, you will lie about anything.  at least romney and newt are known quantities.  RP uses the worst kind of subterfuge to fool his followers.
for now it's santorum for me.

And in view of the fact that this one has a topic.... How's about you tell us as you aren't voting for Paul ( your posting in this thread that already has a topic is clear indication of that) then which of the other candidates running on the republican ticket are you voting for?

I like a lot of what they're saying, too. The only problem is that Romney, Santorum and Newt's records don't back up anything that they're saying. They're only telling us what we want to hear.
