An old fellow brought a High Standard Model B in that he had been tinkering with. Not knowing how to remove the slide he had ended up removing the sear , takedown lever, safety, hammer pivot pin, etc. Now the button on top of the slide that retains the recoil spring has fallen down out of sight into the slide and the slide is locked in the foward position with just a little springy give. I've poked around a little and don't see how to possibly remove the slide without damaging something. If anyone out there has any advice I would love to hear it. Thanks. greer
