RIP John. While on vacation July 4th 2013 in northern Wisconsin, he was ATVing with family and pulled ahead of everyone and took off at break-neck speed without a helmet. He lost control.....hit a tree....and the tree won.  He died instantly.

Nice carriages but 18th Century barrels on 19th Century carriages.  Details, details.

Learning more and more everyday about cannons and carriages. Won't be long when I know enough not call a carriage a sled and so on. That was so good I signed up just to see how he is making them.  What does someone think a carriage that he makes would cost? ???

The only thing i saw wrong with the finished one it doesnt have the D rings, they look good other than that.
There are very few probablms that can't be solved with explosives.

I don't know what the guns are going to cost, but for the time both guys (metal and wood work) are evidently putting into the project, I'd guess that they're going to be asking a price that more than justifies their efforts.

I agree about the barrel for the field carriage: It seems to me that a model of an M1841 6-pounder mounted on a CW carriage would definitely be more appealing to potential buyers, than a barrel that looked "similar" to an M1841 6-pdr.
