Newt isn't going to create any new gun control.  Michelle Obama has stated if her husband is reelected they will do everything they can to outlaw firearm ownership.

Guzzi,

I did a search and found references to this on some progun websites, but nothing specific was quoted...just a generalized perception on the part of the authors that her attitude seems to be anti gun and that some of her statements might be construed to mean something....................

Irrespective, Newt has shown his colors through his past actions, Obama has actually done little or nothing to restrict 2A rights, which is not say that he won't. But when comparing past performance, Newt doesn't come out looking too good concerning our firearms rights. Neither does Romney. And past performance is a pretty good predicator of future performance.

I'm against drugs, I just don't see any point in wasting more taxpayers money fighting them.  I'm for smaller government.  If people want to harm themselves, it's none of my business.

Agreed, and they should have to pay for their destruction out of their own pockets.

I agree with both statements. I especially agree with the second one-dont expect the taxpayers to bail your dope headed dumba$$ out after you have ruined your health and your life by doing drugs.

they pay for it by commiting crimes. legal dope would be no different.
the obamas are both against guns. they, along with the democrats and RP wanted to halt the manufacture of firearms and ammo in the USA.  thankfully they failed.

Legal dope would then be cheap.

Do they commit crimes to buy cigarettes?

Do they sometimes quit cigarettes because they are not good for you?

Why did alcohol use go up during prohibition?

Why were there more moonshiners then?

Why did crime go up under prohibition?

Why did both go down after prohibition was amended?

Fascinating!!!!!!!!

Here we are, on a pro firearms related web site, in a discussion about candidates position on gun control laws, and the discussion turns to drugs to discredit another candidate who is unquestionably pro gun! (this, in spite of the proven fact that "the war on drugs" has been an abject failure)

The bottom line here is that a vote for Newt or Romney is undeniably a vote to have our 2A rights abrogated! Their past performance record proves that! Yet some will sieze upon ANY nebulous reasoning to justify their support for a gun grabber. Sad and very strange! :-\

How did I know you'd ignore Newt's pathetic record on gun control and change the subject to how bad Ron Paul is?

Can we stay on topic here please? We already have an "I hate Ron Paul" thread going on right here that you can post in - http://www.gboreloaded.com/forums/index.php/topic,250009.0.html
