S&W discontinuing The Encore and Contender??????

    I am not a Rumor starter.I heard this from a Gunshop owner.I wonder if their is any truth to this???Thanks,Huntz

I wouldn't believe this for a minute.
Business is business, these firearms are popular.
Anybody can say anything. I have heard some huge stories from gunshop owners.

5 years ago I heard from a gunship owner that H&R was going away.and their'd be no more Handis. Just bought a new one today in a model that wasn't AVAILABLE five years ago......

Not a chance.  They paid I believe something like $100 million for T/C.  The rumor comes from ignorant gun stores with fools running them.  They moved their production from New Hampshire down to Smith and Wesson's production facility to combine and make more efficient.  Production was stopped for awhile but is back up and running.
