I'm not a Newt fan by any means. And, for him to say this, with the economy sliding down hill faster than a penguin on a glacier into the water. In normal times, I would applaud some thing like this, as quite abite of todays technology came from the space program. But I doubt if we'll ever see in our lifetimes, when we could put a space program on that high of expectations. gypsyman

The work to do this would put American's back to work . Where the $$$$$ would come from is another matter. It would put us back on top as far as technology goes. The space program did much to improve our lives from new pipes to heart surgery more so than anything else since I have been on earth so cutting him down for suggesting it seem unfair.
He has many things that he can be criticized for with out using one of his few good ideas.

Agreed, the suggestion of a new space program is definitely better, than Barry's closing of the space shuttle program, and it's mass layoffs. The money as I stated, can come from getting rid of all of Barry's easy cash programs.

Dont use my tax dollar for more pie in the sky space exploration . Nothing gets me hotter under the collar. If Newt wants to go to into the universe he needs his own privetly funded rocket lab.

I know Newt is pandering for the NASA employees vote for the Florida primary. But he is wrong on this moon colony B S. we have been there an done that. Its time to put all efforts into more serious problems here. THE Cleons are in the Whitehouse not on the moon.
