Depends on the forend, single or two screw mount and where the mounting hole(s) are located.
With the Contenders some of the single screw mount TC factory forends (and other custom, Pachy, Choate forends), whether they are for pistol or carbine/rifle barrel lengths work just fine on the Bullberry hanger bars by simply flipping the bar itself end for end and/or rotating it 180 degrees. IOW, flipping changes the position of the single forend mounting hole in the bar and rotating the amount of "stand-off from the barrel. Custom forends from other sources would depend on how they are drilled though. Some two screw mount forends will also work with the bar by simply using one screw mounting through the end of the bar to whichever barrel stand off aligns with a hole in the forend (may take a little longer screw, may take relieving the barrel channel in the forend for the head of the other bar mounting screw).
Probably as clear as mud, but I had Bullberry hanger bars on all of my Contender barrels whether they were factory or custom, pistol or carbine length, set up for one or two screw mount forends (pistol or carbine)... and I used custom, factory, Pachy and Choate forends on the bars on all of them.
Somewhere around here there is probably a box full of short and long Pachy bars... never used them, always used the bars from Bullberry that I bought from Fred a dozen or two at a time.
