Pardner Pump slug barrel
« on: December 26, 2011, 12:21:23 PM »
I was wondering if anyone on here could shed some light on the subject. I checked the sight and it no longer lists the pardner pump slug but it still shows retailers online are selling them I have a buddy of mine with one and was considering the addition of a slug barrel wondering if you can still order just the barrel or even the whole weapon? Thanks for your help guys much appreciated.

Best source to ask is Madison Customer Support, toll free (866)776-929, if they're available, they should know. Rem 870 barrels can be modified to work, that may be an option.

I have a Pardner-Pump shotgun myself, the short-barrel Protector model. I wanted other barrel options, but had problems finding any. Seems it will accept Remington 870 parts and accessories, but not barrels. On 870's, the barrel lug is located closer to the receiver, as a result the Pardner's magazine cap cannot engage and retain it. I searched for something that would permit the use of 870 barrels on the Partner. I ordered a shaft-collar. When placed on the mag tube (butted up against the 870 barrel lug) it should retain the barrel. Best of all, it's simple and shouldn't shoot loose either! I'm sure other brands may work also, but here's the link to the part I am going to try. Hopefully it will work. I'll let you know if it fits tight and stays in place!http://www.mcmaster.com/#9746T4

Interesting to know, I always thought the Pardner Pump was a clone of the 870.  Thanks, for the interesting tidbit.

My quandary, I personally, don't think I have enough Handi's but, I know I have more Handi's than I really need or should have.

It is chinese 870 clone, if you do some research here, you'll see that's been stated many times by many owners, most 870 parts and accessories will fit, barrels won't without modification.  ;)
