I've said that from the outset, because too many Americans remember what he is and what he did in the past.
 
However it seems that someone has other reasons for stating that he won't cut it:

I haven't made up my mind yet regarding Mr. Gingrich, but it's already been reported in the news that Gingrich has told Pelosi, "go or get off the pot".  I personally think that Nana Pelosi, has to wait until she gets off the pot to see what's in it. ;)

“If she knows something, spit it out. Tell us what it is,” Gingrich demanded on NBC’s “Today.”
“She lives in a San Francisco environment of strange fantasies and strange understandings of reality,” said Gingrich.
A day earlier, Pelosi told CNN that she’s got the secret goods on Gingrich.
“He’s not going to be president of the United States,” she said.
 Pressed for further explanation, she cryptically added:
 “There’s something I know.”

It will probably be Mitt.  though he's certainly not perfect, santorum is looking better.
pelosi, being a democrat, will tell any lie to stay in power.  at first she embraced the occupiers, now she says they are part of the republican machine.
until there is a revolt, it really don't matter who wins.
