Arpaio's Phoenix offices temporarily evacuated
Associated Press – 1 hr 25 mins ago PHOENIX (AP) — The downtown Phoenix offices of Sheriff Joe Arpaio were temporarily evacuated Monday morning because of a suspicious envelope addressed to the sheriff containing a white, powdery substance.
A spokesman refused to release details to the The Associated Press until an afternoon news conference.

http://bit.ly/yp8VBf ) reports the envelope was opened on the 19th floor of the Wells Fargo building where the sheriff's office has its headquarters. The unknown substance was found inside the envelope.
A Phoenix Fire Department hazardous materials crew responded.
The crew removed the envelope, and people working in the area were allowed to return.
Officials were still investigating. No injuries were reported.
