It does Not surprise me that Hornady has recalled some of their ammo. About Two years ago I had some of their Lever Revolution ammo for my Marlin Model 36 lever action rifle chambered in .35 Rem. caliber. It would not shoot consistant Group's and seemed aweful Hot. I called them and complained about it's poor grouping performance so they sent me
a Free box to replace the box I burned up trying to sight it in. The replacement box of ammo
did not group well either so I Pulled the bullets, dumped their powder and
dispensed some of my own and it shot one hole groups.
I called the Ballistic lab Tech. and told him of my findings and
he seemed like he could have cared less. That was the last of the Hornady Lever revolution ammo that I ever bought, but now I see they have several recalls on several other calibers....

Hornady Manufacturing Company ballisticians have determined that some cartridges from Lot #3060134 may be under loaded. An under loaded cartridge may result in a bullet remaining in the barrel after firing, causing an obstruction. Firing a second shot with a barrel obstruction from the first shot, will cause firearm damage and may cause personal injury to the shooter and bystanders.
